Established in 2004, around the "kitchen table", (actually Bob
Evans table) several moms came together to decide what a
good support network should look like.
What they decided, is who we still are... Working to provide
more than a 'support group', we endeavor to create an
emotional and social support NETWORK of like minded parents
and caregivers.
All our members have dealt, in one way or another, with
children suffering from the emotional and behavioral issues
commonly referred to through a medical alphabet soup.
Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD); Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD); Bi-Polar; Autism; and many more
seem to rule the lives of these families.
Through the socialization and educational activities we provide,
our members come to find out rather quickly they are not
alone and that, "Normal is in the numbers!"
Becoming a Non-Profit:
In mid 2006 we finally achieved the status of a federally
recognized 501(C)3 corporation. This mile-stone has allowed
us to reach out into the community for financial support in a
new way.
Our growth continues and we are blessed to have found our
niche in the realm of parent support, advocacy and education!
