| OFFICE OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION OVR provides services to eligible persons with disabilites with the goal of getting or keeping competitive employment. You will be eligible for OVR services if: You have a disability that is physical, mental, or emotional impairment which results in a substantial impediment to employment, and you can benefit in terms of an employment outcome from services provided, and , Vocational Rehabilitation services are required for you to prepare for, enter, engage in or retain gainful employment. A Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor will determine eligibility. OVR provides a wide range of services to eligible applicants. The individual being served and the vocational rehabilitation counselor develop an Individualized Employment Plan jointly. The services you receive will be arranged to meet your individual needs. Not everyone will need every service. OVR services include: diagnostic services, vocational evaluation, counseling, training, restoration services, placement assistance, assistive technology, and support services. There is no chanrge for diagnostic services, counseling and job placement. However, a customer maybe required sharing the cost of other services after a financial needs assessment is completed.
